This will NOT effect permit fee rates.

The Union Difference

Elena

My name is Elena and I work as a banquet server at the Marriott. In my union contract we have guaranteed gratuity on ALL banquets. My average is between $25-$60 per hour.

Tera

I’m Tera. I work at Embassy Suites and we negotiated our attendance policy and free meals in our union contract.

Alen

I’m Alen and I work in banquets at Le Meridien Hotel. In our union contract we get overtime after 8 hours a day, 8 paid holidays, free healthcare and gratuity on all banquets—not a flat rate!

Reggie

My name is Reggie and I‘m a cook at the airport. I’m at $18.50 and get a raise every year. Through the union we have free healthcare, parking reimbursement, pension, set schedules, paid vacations and 6 paid personal days a year.

Pat

My name is Pat and I work at Embassy Suites in housekeeping. I make $18.20 per hour and in my union contract I get two guaranteed raises each year.
